Policies

Health Requirements: Your pet must be up to date on the following vaccinations:

Dogs: Rabies, Bordetella, DHLPP

Cats: Rabies, FVRCP, Feline Leukemia

Frequency and necessity of each vaccination is determined and verified by your vet. Puppies must have had all 3 sets of puppy shots (DHLP) and Bordetella. We accept Titer Tests also. We will accept pets with out the rabies vaccine if they are deemed too young for the vaccination by your veterinarian. We allow a 10 day grace period for all vaccinations. All pets boarding or grooming with us must be in good general health. We cannot accept pets with severe illness, contagious disease, or injectable medication.

Check In/Out Time: Check out time for all guests is 1:00 PM. Another nights fee will be charged for pets leaving after 1:00 PM. All pets leaving on Sunday will be charged for Sunday night. You will not be charged an early check in fee, but please be aware that if you arrive before 1:00 PM, the run that you chose for your pet may not be available. Your pet will be made comfortable in a different type of run until his run is empyt, cleaned, and ready, usually around 1:00. Ask the front desk about our policies regarding early check ins and late check outs.

Flea/Tick Policy: All pets will be thoroughly examined upon entering Bed Bath and Biscuit. If any evidence of fleas or ticks is found, the pet will receive a flea treatment at the owner's expense. All bedding must be entirely machine washable in hot water to help prevent transmission of fleas/ticks to other pets in the facility.

Multiple Pet Discount: All prices are per pet per night. Dogs staying in the same run (all day and night) will be offered a 10% discount off of boarding costs. Your dogs must be able to eat, sleep and play in the same enclosure happily to receive the discount. Multiple pet discount only applies to dogs boarding over night.

Belongings: Each pet staying with us is allowed 3 personal belongings (including toys, bones, and bedding). All bedding must be entirely machine washable in hot water. Although we will do our best to ensure that belongings are not lost, we cannot be responsible for any items left with your pet.

Food/Treats: We are happy to feed your own food and treats to your pet. We prefer that any food be pre-measured in disposable zipper bags for each meal. This is to ensure that our measurements are consistent with yours, and that we have enough food for your pet's entire stay. Pets without their own food will be fed our high quality kennel food, according to your schedule, at no additional fee. Pets with more that 3 diet types (food and treats) will be charged a $2.00/day diet fee.  Bed Bath and Biscuit will not add new items to a pet's diet without consent of the pet's owner or advice from a veterinarian.  A small amount of our treat will be administered with medications unless otherwise instructed by the owner.

Medications: We will administer any oral or topical medication (no injectables) at a fee of $2.00 per day. We request that all prescription medications be provided in the original container, with only enough medication to last throughout your pet's stay. All medication should come with clear written directions, including the reason for administration.  Bed Bath and Biscuit will not administer any medication to a pet without instruction from the owner or prescription from a veterinarian.

Collars/Leashes: For the safety of your pet, we require that all pets entering Bed Bath and Biscuit be on a leash and under control. Upon check in, your pet’s collar will be removed and an ID collar will be applied. We cannot be responsible for collars or leashes left with us, but we can keep them with your pet's belongings as a courtesy to you.

Medical attention: Our goal at Bed Bath and Biscuit is to provide a safe, stress free environment for your pet. However, in the event that your pet needs medical care, after making every effort to contact you, we will contact your veterinarian. If we are unable to reach your vet or if your vet feels that your pet need to be seen, we will contact one of the doctors near us. Any cost arising from medical care will be the owner's responsibility. A fee of $25.00 will be incurred if transportation to the vet is provided by Bed Bath and Biscuit.

Payment: Bed Bath and Biscuit accepts Visa, Master Card, Discover Card, American Express, personal checks, and cash. Full payment is due upon check out. There is a $5.00 surcharge fee for all major holidays.

Damage Deposits: Pets staying in our luxury suites, cabins and cat condos are not charged a deposit. However, the significant damage that could be sustained necessitates that we charge the pet owner for repair or replacement of bedding, Kuranda beds, doors, wood trim or flooring.

Aggressive Pet Handling Fee: Even the friendliest pet may react adversely to being in an enclosure. When this adverse reaction makes handling difficult or time consuming, a charge will be incurred. If handling your pet becomes dangerous, you will be asked to pick him/her up as soon as possible.

Abandoned Pets: In the case of an abandoned pet, Bed Bath and Biscuit will comply with Chapter 70 of the Texas State Property Code.

Emergency Contact Requirement:  An emergency contact is required for all pets to board. The emergency contact can not be the owner's home or cell phone number, it must be a different contact that is capable of picking up the pet in an emergency situation.
